Yaffa circa 1980s

I went to Yaffa Cafe in 1986. While sittiing with friends, a very woman darkened the doorway on her way in the door. She had to bend down and tip her unusually large hat sideways to get in. When she stood up once inside, wow!!! it was Grace Jones.

Neighborhood Classic

I have known this place since the early '90s, so it has been around at least that long. Places in NYC don't last for decades if they're not serving up something good. Yaffa is one of my favorite places to go for Mediterranean food on a budget.
