Heard a rumour that Anderson Cooper's boyfriend owns this place.

One of my favorites

I'm here almost every weekend. Fun music, cool guys, good times.

Kitchy, sleazy fun

Everything about Eastern Bloc feels rough around the edges, and that's a big part of the appeal. The crowd is friendly (both verbally and physically) - they have to be, there isn't a lot of room to move, and this place gets popular. The pours are strong and the Soviet kitch just gives it a great atmosphere. Definitely make the trip.

Worth the trip!

Was there first time Friday 6/17/11. It got really crowded. Mix of ages and types, great crowd, music, and drinks. Jock type go go boi was hot and close up. It is narrow, but a hoot, and I will be going back often.
