"watch your drinks"

This place used to be a nice back then long time ago, however i went there one night and got poisoned by one of their drinks. I asked for a long island, and what apparently was just dirty water with god Knows what, was hospitalized for a week, the doctors said the drink had some chemical in it. So its not safe to go there at all. Watch out for those bartenders and what they put on that drink!!! peace!

What Happened??

I used to enjoy hitting up the city and following up on friends reccomendations, except when it came to here. We had no issue with the cover until we took in the totality of our experience and then realized I would have felt much better giving the $120 I laid out for 6 of us to someone on the corner looking for a hand out. Lets talk about the drinks OMG I could have had a better buzz drinking from a puddle out on the corner ... talk about weak. The music was way too overplayed and repetitive. From the attitude of the clientel I thought when I was leaving I would find a slew of Aranges and Murcielagos outside, but I only found a bunch of Rattle-acks. The crowd was way too arrogant and pretensious for me. Sorry Escuelta but you had a chance for a new customers and lost it, I won't be back and I think it is very obvious that I wouldn't reccomend this place.

Absolutely awful

I used to go there a lot in nth e'90s. Unfortunately, it's owned by someone else. From the momento you enter, you know it's not a friendly place, the cashier has more attitude than a movie start even thiugh she has a terrible Btonx accent. The patrons aremstly minorities who can't afford the expensive drinks. Lots of drag queens and "straight" men who areobviusly gay but in the closet. The music is repetitious and the dance fllor only gets full during that long and and awful show. The show lasts over 90 minutes, hostedby Angel Sheridan on Saturdays. He has a big following but does the same routine every week. Just imagine a guy who works for the sanitation department during the week and moonlights as a drag diva on weekends. Drinks are very expensive and sub-standards. There ar elots of young guys hustling customers for free drinks. The strippers are too old and full of cliches. Skip the place and give your $20 to a charity instead.

I am an EX-regular here, and I'd like to share....

First and foremost, I am 22 years old, and began my club life early (17). Escos was the first place I ever stepped foot into, and it quickly became my favorite. Just as quickly as it became my favorite, it became my most hated. It was the first club I'd ever been to, and I was thrilled to be in a loud, raunchy, guy-filled, humid place like this. It was great. But as months went by, the mist faded, and I began to see this place for what it REALLY is. It's disgusting, degrading, nonsocial, and ridiculously over-priced on admission & drinks (for what it isn't worth). Check it: 1) There is pornography all over the place...on the TV monitors, the walls....everywhere. 2) The lack of space completely sucks the worth out of the 20$ you're paying. 3) The music is distastefully repetitious and redundant. 4) The "dancefloor" stays empty the majority of the night (except Saturdays, but we'll get into this next). 5) Saturday nights, which are the fairly decent nights to actually go, are populated by a frenzy of women and groups and couples and everything that you basically DON'T CARE FOR since you're a single, gay man. 6) The drinks are unbelievable WEAK, which means you'll be buying drink after drink until you've spent your rent money. 7) Now this is key, so pay attention: *IN THIS CLUB, THERE ARE ONLY *2* KINDS OF CROWDS. THE FIRST CROWD CONSISTS OF YOUNG, IMMATURE, FLAMBOYANT, OBNOXIOUS, ARROGANT, UNEDUCATED BOYS THAT SOMEONE LIKE WOULD HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST IN. AND THE SECOND CROWD CONSISTS OF UNATTRACTIVELY OLD, FAT, HORNY MEN CRUISING AND LOOKING TO PAY THE AFOREMENTIONED CROWD FOR SEX. I think that 'bout covers it...............
