Rude, Unprofessional, Creepy, Very Gross! Nightmare!
Its been a nightmare to stayed at this place, it cost $125 per night, ist not worth it at all. The guy who checked me in, the middle age guy( around 40 something) its freakin stupid and horny PIG( my suggestion, go the gym and started work out) , he started to touched me when he checked me in to the room. And the other OLD GAY GUY, very old, he is full of drama, i saw he kicked the guy out of the place because he forgot to pay the extra night,! MY suggestion to CHELSEA MEWS GUESTHOUSE, clean your place, i know its an first old gay guesthouse, but it doesn't mean the person who worked there have to be an old minded! being professional without touching or groping people. with $ 125 you can have a nice private room in chelsea via! and you will feel comfortable without hearing an OLD GAY guy screaming and yelling!

I've stayed at a lot of gay guest houses but this one really was horrible beyond belief. To start off, there was no one to let me in when I arrived and no one answered the phone so I ended up staying at another place my first night. After checking in at the Chelsea Pines, which was great, I called to make sure there wasn't anything I messed up with and the guy who answered had the nerve to tell me I never showed up!! I bit my tongue and called back the next day since I hadn't extended my stay at the Pines yet and whoever answered was very gracious and told me I could stay the rest of my stay for $50/night the rest of the week so I took him on the deal. After checking in, the guy that yelled at me originally came to my room to introduce himself, wouldn't take a hint and leave, and then started ambling on about sex, grindr, and wanted to show me his ---. He was creepy, probably twice my age, and probably hasn't seen a gym in years. I immediately went back to Chelsea Pines and was soooo happy I did. Don't stay here whatever you do!

    Great Bang for the Buck
I stayed here one night to relax & raise hell after a being in NJ for a week before heading home. The rooms are small & the baths are shared. But, if your willing to have that inconvience , it's a fantastic deal for the price. My single room was immaculate & the single bed was very comfortable. Stairs would be a challenge if you have physical limitations. It is in Chelsea & very near the West Villiage. The owner was delightful and actually walked down to the Chelsea Market and shared some great stories about "his" New York. If you're looking for luxury, stay in a hotel. But if your like me and only use the room for the bed and are on the go, you can't beat it. I'll be staying her on my next visit to NYC.
