LGBT Kwanzaa Community of NYC - 40th Anniversary Celebration!

Habari Gani everyone! We welcome you to our Annual Kwanzaa Celebration! The theme this year is Welcome Home to New York as we mark our 40th Anniversary celebrating Kwanzaa in our LGBT Community. Lavendar Light Choir will be performing for us this year. The Kwanzaa Kids and The African Folk Heritage Circle led by Dr Joyce Duncan & Sister Thelma Ruffin Thomas will be our Storytellers for the evening. Dupree and Sister Safiya Bendele have blended Spoken Word with ole time Spirituals. The Fabulous Turk and Ezra are on the program once again, Drumming & Dancing. And Women of The Calabash are “ Coming Back Home”. Eat a delicious Karamu (feast), enjoy terrific and cultural entertainment, and meet old and make new friends.
