MASS PROTEST @ Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting - #NoDAPL, #FlintWaterCrisis, #WaterIsLife, #StandWithStandingRock, #NotMyPresident Let us organize one of the most important demonstrations since Day 1 of post-election mass demonstrations. The media has blackedout all events during the primaries, but we are all now being televised post-election. Let us take advantage of this! On this day we will use it as a double-edged sword as we fight climate change and protest in solidarity with #StandingRock and #NoDAPL and demand the complete shut down of the North Dakota Access Pipeline all the while pressuring President Obama and President-elect Trump to block completely its construction and removal of pipes and to respect Indigenous lives and the sanctity of the Standing Rock Indian Reservation environment. We also stand with those affected and threatened by the #FlintWaterCrisis while we urge Attorney General Lynch to prosecute Michigan's governor and Flint's mayor for their negligence in poisoning their people, drinking water, and river. Let us also hold our elected officials accountable to progressive economic-based issues and policies for the needs of poor and struggling working class and those marginalized and threatened by hateful speech. The plan is to fill up the viewing/spectator areas with your signs (no sticks) between 4PM-6PM before spots get filled by the public. Once the performances and coverage commences at 7PM, we raise our signs and chant our chants as loud as we can for environmental/economic safety, healthy, accountability. We must nonviolently disrupt business as usual and let the Media, Government, and Audience at home what we are demanding and aiming to achieve. Stay tuned for more incoming info.
