Doug Hream Blunt Live at Ace hotel!

Doug Hream Blunt learned to play music after taking a "how to start a band" class at age 35. He formed a band out of his classmates and would only perform at the hospital where he worked as a nurse. When he’d finish a new song and was able to get everyone together, he made a few rare appearances on the local San Francisco cable access television. He eventually recorded an album and EP of hypnotic lo-fi soul/pop at his teacher’s house, which has been recently excavated and reissued by Luaka Bop. Today, at the age of 65, he has started to tour for the first ever in his life! On Tuesday, September 27, Doug Hream Blunt will be performing in the lobby of Ace Hotel New York, with a band formed through an open call to the public, and through a special collaboration with Brooklyn Music Factory and other special guests.
