NPNP is a community driven event that started in Montreal in 2004 to create spaces that challenge sexual and gender binaries and critical inner (and outer) self dialogue about bodies and sexual privilege in a pantless, and socially conscious hot mess!
The premise is easy; you come, you drop your pants, you dance in your underwear, kiss a few cuties, and then dance some more to the party tunes (the kind where the more words you know the better). If you're lucky you won't be going home alone. And for that there will be a safer sex/harm reduction materials on site with a bunch of condoms, gloves, and many other goodies.
Party goers will be able to witness the best kisser of the summer of 2015- dare to be in the NPNP Kissing Competition and smooch for this important title for any Tinder/Grinder or Ok Cupid profile! Fabulous queer artist performances by Kia Labeija (NYC), Glam Gam Productions (Montreal) and some other secret special guests! plus other fun and secret guests. Not stop dance tunes by the best DJ ever and NPNP family member DJ LIKE THE WOLF!
Cover is sliding scale $5 - $20 (but you can give way more if you'd like). If you do not take your pants off there is a $5 penalty at the door. The money will go towards Visual AIDS' annual LOVE POSITIVE WOMEN valentines mail out in partnership with the International Community of Women Living with HIV.

NOTES:
1. Everyone has and wants to explore different levels of sexiness and engagement at NPNP, this is a gentle reminder that you’re your wants might be different than others – therefore consent is part of the playfulness and is part of the NPNP culture.
Project Statement:
No Pants No Problem (NPNP) is a curatorial arts project, based in social relationships, and direct action, as a means to challenge binaries in gender and sexuality, phobias of all sorts, and constrictive inner and outer dialogues about bodies and desire. Set in the context of an underwear dance party, NPNP is an opportunity for open engagement, and time based, social performances. Unlike other “underwear” parties, the walls of NPNP are lined with granny craft activist banners, provocative posters, performances and other forms of messaging that remind the participants of the complexities of HIV and other personal disclosures, the criminalization of bodies, and our own sexual privilege (or lack their of). By doing this NPNP critiques public health messaging and gives space for communities to discuss risk, vulnerability and choice in ways that are realistic to everyone.
