Luck of the Irish March Bear Den Party

For our March Bear Den, we'll be celebrating the Luck of the Irish and the Blarnystone with our St. Pat's themed party. Wear your green, bring Irish snacks, and we'll all kiss the Blarneystone together! Maybe you'll get lucky and go home with a lucky Leprechaun!

Join us for munchy snacks and soda, juices, tea, coffee and friendly hairy guys looking to make new friends over card or board games and getting to know each other!

The nominal door fee is $7 to pay the rental of Queens Pride House (if we have 20 paying members, everyone will receive a $2 refund at departure!) Everyone receives a door prize ticket for prize drawings made during announcements.

What are we? Why do we exist? Who's welcome? How does it work?

The New York Bear Den was established to fill a void in the New York City Bear Community. Bears are social creatures, therefore we have created "The New York Bear Den!" We provide a hate-free, alcohol-free, attitude-free alternative to the "bar scene" -- a space to socialize once a month where you can sit back... relax... meet... chat... play games and make friends with some woofy guys of all ages, races, types and interests. We are NOT a support group, we are a SOCIAL group.

We only ask that you help pay the rent for Queens Pride House with a $7 donation at the door AND bring a beverage or snack to share with the group.

We also occasionally schedule other activities giving members even more opportunity to socialize such as movie nights, dining out, parties (note: some NY Bear Den party venues such as bars or private parties may serve alcohol as well as other beverages. We also participate in other events with other organizations to promote NY Bear Den and raise awareness of our existence, such as gay/bear pride events/marches, Urban Bear Weekend, fund-raisers, Folsom Street East, Joe Fiore's Furball and many more!

The Bear Den welcomes all men that identify themselves as "bears" (a "bear", in our definition of the word, is a gay, bisexual or transgendered man with an average to large build, who may or may not have body hair and/or facial hair, a typically rugged (butch) demeanour, a tempered maturity and an optional interest in leather. This includes those typically known as "cubs", "chubs", "chasers", and their male admirers, regardless of their own particular attributes or physical qualities).

Participants are encouraged to bring games, hobby/collector's materials, music and anything else they wish to share with the group. We are a social group!
