Kargaltsev’s drama, through dance, music and theatre, explores the relationships between the media, popular culture and propaganda in the modern world and the all-prevailing concept of unrequited love. But, there are intruders: politicians, pop-stars and our own children. Where do they fit in? Nothing will ever be the same again. All of us, straights, gays, blacks and whites will see the world anew: perhaps with no comfortable perspectives, but with hope. You will be moved and cheered at the same time.
Bio
Alexander Kargaltsev is an artist, writer, film and theatre director. In this last capacity he won many prizes including his movies, The Cell (2010) and The Well (2009), both made when the Moscow-born author held a scholarship at the All-Russian State University of Cinematography. Kargaltsev’s range has even expanded since he won a scholarship in New York Film Academy and moved to New York City in 2010. Kargaltsev is young enough to bring out images from childhood, from fantasy, with an innate and refreshing vigour, but stamped with a maturity of utterance and presentation which is truly innovative and remarkable.- http://thenetplay.com/
