THE PARADE PARTY III
NYC Gay Pride

For the third consecutive year, Hades Music presents a very unique party in celebration of Gay Pride in New York City. This years event takes place on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from Noon-7:00PM in an incredible loft venue on Fifth Avenue with a large outdoor terrace that overlooks the parade and boasts incredible skyline views of the city.
The spirit of the event is remarkably different from that of the many other NYC Pride parties, filling the gap left by the closure of the citys legendary big room clubs that in years past hosted spectacular and immense celebrations. Likewise, The Parade Party places extraordinary emphasis on music, house music in particular: uptempo music intended for dancing and celebrating and doesnt eschew the origins of house music.
House Music originated in Chicago in the early 1980s, reached NYC soon thereafter, and was initially popularized in discotheques catering the African-American, Latino and gay communities. It helped shape the elements of current popular dance music in the mainstream worldwide. While this events disc jockeys are up-and-coming, in-demand and on the cutting edge of new music and technology, they are unique in their collective appreciation of and respect for house music in its purest sense. Gay Pride weekend is very appropriately a time to recall the sense of creating a community on the dancefloor, and that is the mission of the party.
The partys creator, Hades Music founder Michael Hades comments that, An era has ended. Most of the major big room clubs have closed, including the legendary Roxy, and there is no more Junior Vasquez residency. The Parade Party seeks to fill that gap and recreate the celebratory, non-commercialized vibe left vacant in NYC clubland.Hades Music has pledged to use the event to give back to the community for Gay Pride; this party pledges 10% of the profits to a local youth LGBT shelter called Trinity Place Shelter.
The goal is to keep elements of the fantastic, unmistakably New York City club scene to preserve our culture, while creating a new experience for veteran and new clubgoers, all the while pushing the envelope musically and in terms of creating a meaningful, memorable experience for the partys attendees. The House of Aviance and a team of dedicated individuals are helping to create the most exciting and festive atmosphere to celebrate Pride.
In 2010, Hades Music has partnered with another pioneering music collective, Continuous Cool, and its founder, DJ/Producer Jerome Farley joins Michael Hades to man the decks on the main dancefloor at the party. Jerome Farley, who celebrates 20 years djing and his birthday at this event, is a NYC native who moved to Barcelona in 2008 where he performs regularly, besides his guest dj residencies in the USA in NYC (Club 57), Atlanta (Jungle) and Washington, DC (Town).
Both Hades Music and Continuous Cool have each released music compilations of each labels current hits (and each boasts recent Billboard Club Play Top 10 hits). Both albums are available beginning June 8, 2010 exclusively at Masterbeat (masterbeat.com).
Joining Hades and Farley are three of the most incredible NYC djs playing on the outdoor terrace overlooking the Parade: Reed McGowan, Fabiano Angelo and Dre. The event is hosted by Mother Juan Aviance, Anthony C, Oscar A, Chad Aviance, Christina Visca, Fernando Milan, Yusef Xtravaganza and King Ralphy and we have confirmed attendance by many superstar djs and clubland elite.
The Parade Party has just confirmed that uber-promoter Christina Visca, creator of the original Sound Factory and Bassline, has joined the event. Christina's parties are without a doubt the finest in NYC.
Michael Hades puts it quite succinctly: If you want to hear the hottest new remixes and tracks from these two HOT labels and party in a festive atmosphere this party is for YOU!
Tickets are $30 tickets in advance at http://www.theparadeparty.com. With Hades Music and Continuous Cool producing hit after hit, the roster of talented djs for the party (as well as surprise performances!), the event is sure to sell out in advance. We recommend that you purchase tickets in advance.
Happy Gay Pride!
