Still one of my favorites in NYC
I know the new area is "Hells Kitchen" but this club still holds something special. I hadn't been here for over 15 years and it was still just as it was. Full of hot guys of all ages, half naked bar staff and good strong drinks. The gogo boys are okay, but there aren't as many as they used to have and they aren't as friendly. They seem to get mixed in with the dance floor instead of being a point of attraction. Anyway, I would say if you haven't been here it is a must stop in the city.
OK place
I went to Splash like 4 times. The last time I ve been there - thursday night- i did not have a good time at all.
First of all, i asked for a beer to the bartender, and he immediately ASKED for tips. I paid the beer and he literally said NO TIPS FOR ME?. What kind of attitude is this? I understand that in NYC tips are aprecciated everywhere, but that is something you have to win, not ASK to a customer.
Then, i was sitting on a chair on the bar and then a guy comes and tells me I NEED THE CHAIR. And I asked WHY? i did not even say NO, I just wanted to know why he needed the chair - he wasnt asking for chairs to anybody else- . He then called the security guy instead of explaining to me why i could not use the chair. That really freaked me out.
Also, the gogo dancers attitude SUCKS. They cruise all around the place dancing and flirting to old guys just to get money.
In this place you will really find the worst of the gay community.
LOVE SPLASH BAR
Each time we go there , it was so grateful place and funny evening
splash
the great place to go to
Splash's Friendly Atmosphere
Splash has a very welcoming atmosphere. The bartenders are willing to listen and talk to their customers. The deejays play great music and videos. This club with it's welcoming arms can make their customers forget their problems and troubles. You can always count on Splash to make your evening much more memorable.
a truly devoted
Gorgeous venue in a calm neighborhood. Friendly staff, stiff drinks and... Musicals! what can you not like of Splash? for sure a place to go back.
Not even close to fun
Splash was one of the clubs that I had heard of before visiting New York...and it was a huge disappointment. It is a great space, and good lighting, but everything else sucked. Not one person looked like they were having fun. There was one go-go boy that was putting every ounce of energy he had into the place, but all the other dancers looked bored, and for the most part weren't dancing.
The bathrooms were a bit odd: a long trough to piss in, and then stalls separating each person. Kinda gross and oddly laid out.
Sure, the place was clean, but a good club needs a bit of grit to be any fun, and his place lacked that. We paid $20 each to get in and left after 45min of pure boredom and went to a different club.
Splash is a waste of time.
Tacky and too young
The boys look like they are 17 years old, the music is top 40 only and the place itself is tacky. If the music was good maybe it would be a good time. Probably the worst gay club in nyc haha.

Having an awesome time here at splash!
