unassuming dive
This dark bar did feel like anything could happen. No attitudes or judgements. Small and odd layout, but seemed like a potentially good bar for cruising. (not much happening the night i was there)
down-to-earth. Really.
of all the gay bars in New York, this is the one where you'll be most likely to end up making out with a stranger. Nothing bad...it's all good, no regrets, but you might just surprise yourself. The bartenders, agreed, are nothing special. The strippers are surprisingly ordinary and you can even talk to them without receiving any attitude. It is fairly small and fills for special events. DO remember your ID...I'm not used to being carded at my age but they are consistent and card everyone.
It is a fun bar
It is dark, cruisy and fun. We met the owner 1 day and he was attentive and the latin bar back was very good but some of the bartenders need to learn customer service. Sorry but we sometimes waited for drinks while the bartender chatted with people and then would get nasty when asked for a drink.
Horrible, again
The place intends to be a great gay bar, but the boucer and one of the bartenders (the forty-and-something-bald-tattooed-shirtless-Afroamerican one) are the most unpolite and rude people I have ever ever seen in my life.
