Morris-Jumel Mansion

(3 Ratings)
Definitely worth the visit
Morris-Jumel Mansion, Manhattan's oldest home, was built in 1765. George Washington used the mansion as his headquarters during a brief portion of the Revolutionary War. Eliza and Stephen Jumel bought the house in 1810. When Stephen passed away, Eliza married Aaron Burr. If you're looking for an afternoon of history in upper Manhattan, look no further.
