Ordered a meatball sub sandwich. Waited outside in hot weather for 30 minutes for one sandwich. When asked to check my order it seemed that my order was waiting for some time in the kitchen. No one gave damn interest to check if it’s made or not. Sandwich is mediocre. Nothing special. Which doesn’t even taste like mozzarella. Total price for the sandwich was $16. The menu price shows $12. It seems that they charge extra $4 just for cheese only. The quality of the sandwich was the same as from a deli for $8-9. This place is overpriced and food quality is mediocre. Besides all of that, I had a terrible heartburn after I had a meatball sandwich from this place. Terrible!

The best

If you only go to one pizzeria in Manhattan, it should be this one. Terrific thin-crust pizza--get one with lots of toppings--and a very fresh salad which easily feeds two. Woody Allen's favorite.

Best pizza in NY

Every time I travel to NY, John's on Bleecker is on my to-do list at least twice. I've been going since I was a kid so I'm sure nostalgia has some hand, but it really is the best. I suggest keeping it simple (cheese pie and a pitcher), and don't even think about not chomping down that last slice. My boyfriend even carved our names in one of the booths :)
