Great hotel on 14th Street
I discovered Chelsea Pines Inn several years ago - and since then it's become my "home away from home" in New York. From the wonderfully decorated rooms (with posters of old movies), to the amazingly generous breakfast (including daily loaves of incredible tea-bread made by the owner), to the garden patio in back - this place is a total success. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, summer or winter - the staff is VERY helpful and friendly... there's a business-room with computers and printer, so I don't have to drag my laptop to New York if I'm only going for a short visit... the location is fantastic (right above the West Village, and at the edge of Chelsea, with the 8th Avenue subway right up the block)... The Chelsea Pines even puts out its own daily "newspaper", with upcoming activities in the neighborhood, and suggestions for touristing and shopping (including the spectacular High Line Park, which is only a block and a half away). I used to live in New York - and love going back there. And now the Chelsea Pines Inn is one of the things I look forward to most, when I do go back. Because the whole place is so comfortable, and the staff so welcoming, it really does feel like
Cute, hip little B&B
LOVED this place. Cute and well decorated with an Old Hollywood theme. We had the Paul Newman room which was fabulous, with a hot, shirtless picture of Paul in his 20's in the bathroom! The inn was quiet and close to everything in chelsea...such a cute area. Loved the bed as well, and the shower was so unique and nice. I would totally stay here again. Friendly staff as well.
pride please
This is my favorite spot in town. If you're coming to New York, check it out! It's cozy, sweet, and the best location in NYC.
love this place!
Can you find Judy Garland (lol) The front desk boy is so sweet and cute (anyone know his email? lol) I will definitely stay here again. :-)
