Come out and paint the town red on Tuesday, September 19, with NYC Democratic Socialists of America’s new Queer Caucus! Mix and mingle with LGBTQ+ socialists, make connections, and discover opportunities to support each other’s work.
We’ll start with an alcohol-free meet-and-greet at Bluestockings Bookstore, Café, & Activist Center from 7pm to 9pm. Check out Bluestocking’s Safer Space Policy, which provides guidelines to help Bluestockings be a supportive and safe environment for all who participate: http://bluestockings.com/about/safer-space.
Then, at 9pm, those who like their socialism with social lubricants can head over to Beverly's at 21 Essex Street to continue the evening with drinks. Beverly’s has two gender neutral bathrooms — including one that is wheelchair accessible.
It will take all of us to liberate all of us so let’s get to know each other!
REMEMBER:
Be proactive about asking for pronouns.
Don't assume anyone's gender.
NYC-DSA’s Queer Caucus is a group for LGBTQ+ members of NYC-DSA and LGBTQ+ socialists interested in the Democratic Socialists of America’s work. Learn more about NYC-DSA at http://socialists.nyc.
