Originating in New York City. the gay pride parade has sparked marches for gay pride worldwide ever since the first march in Greenwich Village in the early 1970's. The New York City Pride Parade kicks off at noon on Sunday, June 28th at the intersections of 26th Street and 5th Avenue. The party continues after the parade with Pridefest on Hudson Street.
The 2020 official theme, “The Future Is…” represents the diversity of our LGBTQIA+ community while also honoring each person’s individuality and unique outlook for the future.
GayCities Members report that New York City Pride is canceled.
