::: Vogue Ball Culture: Learn it, Love it, Respect it. :::
Vogue Balls are an intentional space for queer and trans people of color. You may know about Vogue from Madonna, but it has roots in the historically marginalised urban black and Latino gay and trans communities. If you are not from this community - you are a white or straight ally - please be mindful of the space you take up. Do not push to the front to take photos or videos, do not stand in the way of dancers or house members. If you would like to participate, make sure you understand completely what each category means before entering.Any racist, classist, sexist, homophobic, and/or transphobic behavior will not be tolerated. If your behavior is found to be disruptive, you will be asked to leave.
As a white or straight ally, the best way you can show your support and appreciation for ball culture is by buying drinks at the bar. By patronizing the bar, you make it possible for our venue to continue providing space to cultures like this.

::::::: Consent Policy :::::::
Behave with beauty, connect with intention. We are obsessed with Consent. Always ASK before touching anyone in our House. Always ASK before photographing your fellow patrons. Photos of our performers are welcome and encouraged.
If someone is violating your boundaries or harassing you, please report them to a security guard or any staff member. We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment. If you feel something, say something, and we will help. Questions about consent culture at House of Yes? Let us know: consent@houseofyes.org.
::::::: Community and Accessibility :::::::
This is a space for everyone to feel welcome and loved. Racism, sexism, ableism, ageism, homophobia, transphobia, or any other form of discrimination will not be tolerated at our House. All restrooms in our venue are gender neutral. Everyone is free to use the restroom that best fits their gender identity or expression. All entrances and spaces within the venue are single-level. There are stairs leading to the upper portions of the stage, for those who wish to dance in the spotlight. Strobe lights are used during performances and parties.
