For the newbies… Battery Urban Farm is an educational farm where city kids learn about gardening, growing organic vegetables, and community building. We have become something of a legend there, and the staff assures me that there will be plenty of opportunity for us to get dirty and show off our muscles. The $20 is a donation to pay for materials and supplies.
We need to meet at the farm 10:45 AM, and will work from 11am until 2pm. And then we’ll head over to a local Irish pub together for beer and food afterwards.
Looking forward to doing some good and getting down right filthy with you guys again!
Jeremy, Alan, Doug and Rob (in spirit)
