amazing nyc secret

i was a familiar face to candle bar for quite some time and it is by far the friendliest gay bar in nyc neighborhood crowd very low key. whether in a business suit or flip flops you'll fit right in. sit at the vintage bar and chat with friends, play a friendly game of pool, or throw a few bucks in the digital juke box to hear your favorite tune, although if you throw the bartender a smile he usually takes requests with his ipod ;) check out this cozy little upper west side bar, guaranteed a good time

Great place to meet new friends

I use to frequent the Candle Bar when I lived in New York I had some great times meeting people and hanging with friends. That was our meeting place after work for cocktails and talking and listening to music. If you ever in New York it's a must to visit

Uptown fun

This bar has been here a long time, but apparently some guys haven't found it yet. Too bad. The drinks, staff, and crowd are all great. It's quite unpretentious and welcoming. It seems I end up here whenever a special occasion takes me to New York: Gay Games 1994, my ABC-TV taping in 1999, last week revisiting ABC...and I always have a great time. I should go more often!
