A packed crowd always enjoys the music and drinks at The Hangar. Frequented heavily by sexy African-American and Latino men; the music is pumping and drinks are flowing.

I hung out at the Hangar in the small hours of May 21st. The music was kicking and I paid $10 for a rum and coke. This bar goes way back. I mean, it is a long bar in a long space. While there is some seating on the left side, usually you need to sit at the bar. A pool table and smaller bar are in the back. The 3 video screens were all showing Jeopardy! This place has lots of exposed brick, painted white, and Quonset hut-like ceiling decoration. The patrons were mostly older black gentlemen, locals, but note the Asian group at the front table and the mature white lady shooting pool. No gogo guys there though. ☹️
RACIST,... WHITE DOORMAN, ...
If you're Not Black, Under 30, n Showing Lots of Skin,.. The WHITE Doorman,.. Will Make up some Bullshit that you're not welcome, and Call you by a name other than your Own,.. and Accuse you of being Belligerent and a Trouble Maker. I had a couple of Older White Buddys from Ty's tell me this so I went myself to see if it was True. LOL,... Im White and in 40's,... I was immediately Stopped a the Door, addressed as someone else, and Told I wasn't allowed in this Bar... LOL,.. Who Needs the Arrogance. I went back acrossed the Street to Ty's and Had a Great Night. NOTE: Put Your Credit/Debit Card away.. Its another CASH ONLY BAR///

Love coming to this place. The drinks were strong. People are not as friendly there but I think same as everywhere else in NYC. But couple of the go go boys were hot hot hot.
