Hangar Bar (Closed Permanently)

(121 Ratings)
Casually modern hole-in-the-wall

A packed crowd always enjoys the music and drinks at The Hangar. Frequented heavily by sexy African-American and Latino men; the music is pumping and drinks are flowing.

Great Bar

It's just a bar. here's no pretense. There's no shade. There are plenty of good looking brothas around to talk to and the drinks are strong. What more could you ask for? I go to the Hangar every time I'm in NY. I think it's time for another trip back.

not 1 star

This bar would be allot better if there was more space, which wouldn't matter if the drinks where like Chi Chiz(RIP)! if I were the manager(s) I would have capitalized on the closing of the best bar on Christopher St. on the 1 thing they posses that matted(s) the most is, "if your drinks (2 4 1)are stronger, they will not only come, but become loyal paying tipping customers!" trust I spent a all my life studying people of all races

Great bar

This bar has always been a great place to enjoy relax with you friends and have a decent drink. Now that Chiz Chiz is closed due to the local community, police and chiz chiz management many ex Chiz Chiz patron go here. The vibe is great I just hope they don't get the same faith as Chiz Chiz.. Let's support this place for they seem to be trying to close these places little by little.
