Barracuda has been a Chelsea insitution for years with frequent drag performances and regular guys enjoying the strong drinks at the long bar in the front and just hanging on comfy sofas in back.

nice
good space, bar seats and couches, nice mix of guys, a bit dark though especially if you really want to see who you are meeting, though, sometimes i guess, it's better in the dark
good place to sit and chat...
With couches lining the wall, its a good place to sit and chat with friends. Bartenders are friendly and it gets a pre-and-post theater crowd.
Decent neighborhood bar
While not a hotbead of excitement, Barrage is a relaxing neighborhood place to catch a drink, particularly if you're not in the mood for the nearby larger and more crowded Therapy. The red walls with vertical strings of oversized fake pearls are either fun/campy or just tacky, probably depending on how many drinks you've had.
