On Friday October 28th, NYC’s original Tropical bass party returns to the House of Yes to bring you a tremendo tropi-goth extravaganza with our first edition of Que Bajo de los Muertos. After three long years, Bogotá’s cult trinity La MiniTK del Miedo returns to NYC to deliver their dark gospel of “Mverte y Sabrosvra,” set to turn the dancefloor into an apocalyptic communion that’s halfway between a rave and an exorcism. Dubbed as the “inventors of gothic cumbia,” LMNTKDM’s performances are a uniquely Colombia-pa’l-mundo ceremony that merges ghostly dances, folk cumbia, champeta breaks and synth dembow electronica to take bailadores through a euphoric trance of ritual liberation and absolute salvation from fear. If you’re still swooning over the Perreo-fest that was the front room last month, no te preocupes– you’re ensured for a Round Two with the debut of some of our QB extended family, DJ Bembona and Banginclude. Panameña-Puertorriqueña queen DJ Bembona highlights Latin-Afro-Global sounds, aiming to bring her Latinx community one step closer to embracing their blackness. Banginclude is one of Brooklyn’s global bass ambassadors with a breakneck-speed approach to channelling a deep knowledge of traditional drum patterns, looping vocal chops, and heavy bass reinforcements.
