Stew Roux has been quietly making very large music in outta the way places like BricArts, Barbes and the city of Chicago for more than a minute now and they've decided to document their under the radar sound in a series of 3 shows at the legendary IBeam in Gowanus which they'll record for their upcoming debut album.
IBeam seats 35 people. We’d like to have 35 people at each show for this live recording session.
What started as a Chicago version of The Negro Problem morphed, on contact, into it's own distinct musical universe where a pop-rock singer-songwriter who digs late period Coltrane shacks up with (don't-call-us) jazz-musicians who know who The Partridge Family are (and care).
