Pinups Issue 20 Launch (New York)
Pinups is pleased to announce the launch of the final issue, Pinups No20, featuring the hirsute daddy of the House of Broel, Akrum Salem. The new issue will launch at Printed Matter with special guest Akrum Salem, followed by an after party at The Eagle with DJ Sh_Mi_Ca.
Each issue of Pinups is a portrait—a queer zine which can be dismantled, and the pages tiled to reveal a single, monumental image of the subject. The zine’s two states conflict, resulting in visual and narrative abstraction: a dialogue between its physical structure and its printed content.
