East Texas meets New York as UNSPEAKABLE PRODUCTIONS is proud to present TALL PINES LODGE as part of the 20th Annual New York International Fringe Festival. Writer JD Graves has constructed a taut psychological drama directed by Joshua Hill and starring Conor Andrew Hall, Titus Tompkins, Jehan O. Young, Ryan Scoble and Brian Detlefts.
First produced at the FronteraFest Long Fringe 2006 where it was called “the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen,” TALL PINES LODGE makes its New York premiere with an all new cast.
Set deep in the Piney Woods of East Texas, TALL PINES LODGE is a claustrophobic pulp thriller that shatters the notion of honor among thieves. The play opens with JOE ED (Conor Andrew Hall) and BOOKER (Ryan Scoble), bankrobbers awaiting their cut of the score and the arrival of the mysterious MR. VALENTINE (Brian Detlefts). When Booker’s brother, the psychopathic COTTON (Titus Tompkins), arrives they get more than they bargained for in the form of DAISY (Jehan O. Young), Cotton’s impromptu hostage.
Conor Andrew Hall was born and raised in Michigan. Tall Pines Lodge marks his New York stage debut.
Ryan Scoble has performed in several Off-Broadway shows, including roles in Murder in the First (59E59), Mask of Medusa (Roots and Wings Theatricals), and Bitty Bear’s Matinee (American Girl Place Theatre). He also performs in concerts at The Town Hall with the Broadway by the Year Chorus, as well as directing, choreographing, and performing with the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus. He received his Bachelor’s in Vocal Performances from New York University (Musical Theatre) and is currently a Master’s Candidate in Educational Theatre at The City College of New York. He is a proud member of Actor’s Equity.
Jehan O. Young has performed at HERE Arts Center, Symphony Space, Soho Rep, JACK, Ars Nova and countless esteemed basements with working pipes and a black curtain. She has also performed internationally in the Setkani/Encounter Festival in the Czech Republic and appeared in the German Shakespeare Festival. Jehan holds an MFA in Acting from Columbia University School of the Arts and a BA from Spelman College.
Brian Detlefts past regional credits include Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (Red House Arts Center) Trails (Spirit of Broadway Theater) and Into the Woods. (Blue Mountain Lake Center for the Arts.)
