A self-described "Actor by trade, singer by accident”, Karen is proud to bring 'Janis, Me, and Bobby McGee' to The Cutting Room for its New York debut following numerous sold-out shows across the U.S. The 2009 winner of the Midtown International Theatre Festival’s Outstanding Lead Actress award, Karen views singing as another powerful vehicle for storytelling. With her one woman show 'Janis, Me, and Bobby McGee’, she infuses her own story of self-acceptance with the raw power of Janis’s music to tell a universal story that celebrates life and individuality at it’s core.
