Since its founding in 2010, Coney Island Reggae On The Boardwalk has become one of the highlights of summer in New York City.
This free community event is inclusive, welcoming and joyous for all who attend, celebrating Jamaica's gift to the world: reggae music. It has attracted participation from the likes of Luciano, Johnny Osbourne, Willi Williams, and Brigadier Jerry, among others.
There is no admission charge to Coney Island Reggae on the Boardwalk - it's a free event - so expenses have to be covered by donations. Each year, people have chipped in and made up to four events possible
