R*NT (or, What You Own: another dirge for a city remembered)
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Rent—Jonathan Larson's Tony and Pulitzer-winning opus—downtown deviant Chris Tyler brings you R*NT (or, What You Own: another dirge for a city remembered). A genre-bending spectacular parody fusing the anti-virtuosities of high school drama club with the free-for-all revelry of queer nightlife; R*NT draws inspiration from the work of writer and activist Sarah Schulman to explore the psychic ramifications of AIDS and gentrification in New York City.
