Hot on the heels of their revolutionary NON vs. N.A.A.F.I mixtape, Red Bull Music Academy teams up with this pair of genre-defying global labels for a night of radical statements in sound. Following NON’s Legacy Systems event at Manhattan’s New Museum, crew representatives Chino Amobi, Nkisi and Angel-Ho venture deeper downtown for a dance party that wraps the music of the modern African diaspora, the Latin world and the near cyberfuture into its fold. NON is joined by Bolivian-American sonic collagist Elysia Crampton, Texas’ technoir futurist Rabit, London art rap wizard Gaika and Philly duo Scraaatch, alongside Academy alumnus LAO and Mexican Jihad from Mexico City’s bass-fuelled crew-of-the-moment N.A.A.F.I – as well as confrontational club music experts Dedekind Cut and Total Freedom.
