The State of the Transgender and Gender Non Conforming Community of New York

On November 18, we will hold our final general membership meeting of the year with an expert panel discussion by Transgender & Gender Non- Conforming advocates and leaders from across the five boroughs. The meeting will take place two days prior to the nationally recognized Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR), where we remember those we have lost to senseless violence and look forward to the work we have to do to achieve full equality for our community. Our panelists will discuss topics including employment, health, education, violence and more. They will also discuss the Black Lives Matter movement and the continued uptick in violence against the Transgender community, specifically Transgender Women of Color. Panelists Octavia Y.
