30th Annual Night of a Thousand Gowns

Once a year the New York LGBT community comes together for an ICONIC gala fundraiser--one that rises above all others for over-the-top glamour and fun. It kicks off the LGBTQ Gala season with a bang!! That event is The Imperial Court of New York’s Night of a Thousand Gowns, an outrageous black tie dinner, dance and coronation ball. The 30th Annual Night of a Thousand Gowns will be a historic one and it is more than just a dazzling display of regal glamour, it is an opportunity to celebrate the LGBT community, and in particular, the Reign of Emperor XXIV Opi N. Yated aka Scott Safier and Empress XXIX Madison Mansfield . Of course what Coronation Ball would be complete without the midnight crowning of Imperial Crown Prince Royal Fredd E Tree and Imperial Crown Princess Royale Sugar B. Real aka Rhonda Potter This past year’s event was attended by close to 1,000 affluent people and raised a substantial amount for our beneficiaries. In our thirty year history, the Court has donated millions of dollars to worthy LGBT and HIV/AIDS-related causes. For 2016, we are raising money for the ICNY Youth scholarship to be awarded to our LGBTQ youth around the metropolitan area! Our stage has been graced by the talents of Cyndi Lauper, Darlene Love, Martha Wash, Debra Cox, Karen Mason, Boy George, Barbara Cook, C.H.I.C., Jodi Watley, Zelma Davis, Michelle Williams, Martha Reeves, Expose, Amber, Crystal Waters and Kristine W, Lisa Lampanelli and Sandra Bernhard to name a few! 2016 will be the best star studded event yet!
