Steven Carl McCasland returns to The Duplex after his acclaimed cabaret debut, Mother Wanted Me To Come Out In A Kimono... (also seen at The Metropolitan Room). This time, he takes a more serious look at the music that has shaped his life. The evening includes selections from the songbooks of Carole King, Stephen Sondheim, Carly Simon, Larry Grossman, Joni Mitchell, Stephen Schwartz, David Bowie and more. With Musical Direction and accompaniment by James Horan. McCasland is the critically acclaimed playwright behind Little Wars, What Was Lost and Neat & Tidy. Music has been an important part of his life, thanks to his love of the piano, his mother, and an early devotion to all things musical theatre. There is a $15 Cover Charge, with a 2-drink minimum (alcohol not necessary). The Duplex can only welcome audience members over 21, though exceptions can be made with advance notice.
