Juanita Young and Nicholas Heyward Sr. for the past 20 years have been a force to be reckoned with. There will be many other families joining them on this date, and together we will create a voice that is loud and precise that it can't be ignored.
Police continues with impunity to assault and murder innocent people of color. We need to keep the "Black Live Matter" struggle alive. We must continue to create a voice that is loud, precise and could not be ignored. The City Council and De Blasio made it clear that they don't have the best interest of the people in mind. De Blasio and the City Council has decided to add 1,300 more cops to a force that is and continues to terrorize community of color. Enough is Enough! De Blasio and The City Council has send us a message, now we need to send them a message!
We need to keep the momentum going. Police brutality has reached a tipping point and we must not back down until we have concrete evidence that justice for Mike Brown and all unjust murders by police all around the world is served.
On August 9, 2014, an 18-year-old named Michael Brown was murder in Ferguson, Missouri, by police officer Darren Wilson. Mike Brown's death set off a national debate about the use of force in policing and the way some communities -- particularly low-income black communities -- are frequently the targets of violent, race-based treatment under the guise of law enforcement. Now, a year later, nothing has changed?
A grand jury failed to indict Police Officer Darren Wilson. Numerous reports surface that the prosecuting attorney, Bob McCulloch, manipulated evidence and allowed witnesses who where "obviously lying." Attorney General Eric Holder called for a federal investigation into the events in Ferguson, briefly introducing the possibility of federal charges, but in January it was announced that not enough evidence had been found.
For Mike Brown anniversary we will shut shit down. Come out and join the true "Freedom Fighters". We are not asking for justice, we are demanding justice for Mike Brown and all victims of police terror. All around the world people are going to be in the street on this day. Share with others this event and bring your family, friends and your community, so we could give "No Peace" to the militarize police department.
Who Shut Shit Down!!!
