Frankie and ABAKUA have long been recognized for helping to preserve Boogaloo music, both in their artistic work and the Latin dance community. And to witness such a strong revival in this genre right now is not only an exciting time for its supporters, but a milestone in Latin music history.
This is sure to be a very special night featuring music by Boogaloo godfather Joe Bataan, Ray Lugo & the Boogaloo Destroyers, and DJ Turmix spinning funky hits of the era. Specials guests also include legendary pianist Richie Ray, and in one of his first performances in 40 years, Pete Rodriguez!
