We return to our regular venue in SoHo to make sure that all is still standing, as we present two writers who have literally devastated New York. (They've each written disaster novels set here.) This will likely be our last reading of the season until we re-open shop in September.

Adam Sternbergh is a contributing editor at New York magazine and Vulture, and the former culture editor of The New York Times Magazine. His first novel, SHOVEL READY, was a Newsweek Favorite Book of 2014; a Booklist Best Crime Novel and Best Crime Debut of 2014; and was long listed for the John Creasey (New Blood) Dagger by the Crime Writer's Association. It was also recently nominated for a 2015 Edgar Award for Best First Novel by an American. A sequel, NEAR ENEMY, is available now. Raised in Toronto, he now lives in Brooklyn with his family.
Lev AC Rosen is the author of DEPTH and the forthcoming middle grade novel WOUNDABOUT. His first novel, ALL MEN OF GENIUS, was a finalist for the James Tiptree, Jr. Award, was selected as one of Amazon's Best SF/F Books for September 2011, and appeared on several other "best of" science fiction lists that year. He is originally from lower Manhattan, and now lives in even lower Manhattan, right at the edge of the water, with his husband and a very small cat.
We will have cider and cheese as always, and a raffle for donors of $1 or more. After the event, please join us as we treat our readers for dinner and drinks nearby.
