New York City Pride Guide

You may have "done New York", but have you "done New York City's Gay Pride"? If the answer is "no", then this is just the year. Heritage of Pride has been throwing one of the most fun events of the gay calendar since 1984. 2009 is the 40th Anniversary of Stonewall, so get ready to dance and have fun all week long! Cash in those frequent flyer vouchers, boys, because this year's Pride is going to be one to write home about. The fun kicks off on Saturday, June 20th in Bryant Park with The LGBT Pride Rally followed by Leather Prom Night (oh my!). In addition to your leather, be sure to bring a cute little summer number for The Center's Garden party on Monday night and some hot theater digs so you can look your best while you enjoy Julie from Staten Island and Bridget Everett's shows halfway through the week. By the end of the week you'll want to strip down to the bare essentials for Boys Night at Fuerza Bruta, the Dance on the Pier, and the last-night Alegia party (party of the year?)
