Bio of Margarita Cruz
While balancing her many activities as an AmeriCorps member at The American Red Cross and a new Administrative Assistant at a Non-Profit, her multiple activities as a volunteer with New York Cares and host/curator of her own poetic space Open Moments NYC she is a poet who wishes to inspire change in the many inequalities in the world while making time for 3-hour sessions with her hair.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Anthropology with a minor in history. She sees everything in her life in direct correlation with her studies, her life and the impact she wants to leave with the world.
She uses poetry as an outlet for activism for women's issues, identity and self-reflection
