We would love for you to bring donations of NEW hats, gloves, scarves, socks, nail polish, toiletries (the biggest demand is for different kinds of POC hair & skin care types). Donations will be given out during the party. If you're not able to make a donation, it's okay too! Breaking down the walls and isolation of homeless can only happen by spending time together. through the gift of human connection. Everyone is welcome!
There are tens of thousands of members of our community who are homeless in NYC right now. From our elders to our youth, from those who were laid off to those who are living with chronic illness or a disability and so many more. We can not afford to leave any more people from our community behind as we move the LGBTQIGNC movement forward.
If you'd like to make a donation but can't make the party The Audre Lorde Project will be open from 1pm-9pm the week of Feb 23rd to accept donations.
There is wheelchair accessible entry, elevator and bathroom at this location.
Enormous thank you to The Audre Lorde Project, The Trans Justice Project and the The Miss Major - Jay Toole Building for Social Justice for helping make this party possible!
