An Irish-American poet from Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Finn is emerging as a fresh voice in the NYC poetry scene with performances at the Nuyorican Poet’s Cafe and Apt 78 in Washington Heights. Nick graduated as an inaugural member of Capicu Culture’s La SOPA (School of Poetic Arts) and was a featured artist in Advocate of Wordz’s 2014 theatrical extravaganza “Summer of Wordz.” Recently, Finn appeared alongside an all-star cast of poets in “The Full Circle Ensemble,” under the direction of Andres “Chulisi” Rodriguez at The National Black Theater in Harlem.
SHAFINA AHMED
A native New Yorker, Shafina Ahmed is a poet/spoken word artist sharing the truths of her life, and perspective on the world. She is a member of The Sunday Writing Circle, the Full Circle Ensemble, and Astoria Stand Up – Harmony & Dissonance Sessions. She has performed at Urban Juke Joint, Poets Settlement, SubDriftNYC, Waltz-Astoria, Wordat4F, Brooklyn Poets Yawp, and Open Moments NYC. She is the Communications consultant for both Astoria Stand Up and Tsion Café in Sugar Hill-Harlem, and curates Tsion Café’s open mic series “SUGAR HILL BEATS.” She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
MODESTO FLAKO JIMENEZ
MODESTO “FLAKO” JIMENEZ is a Dominican-born actor, producer,writer and arts educator raised in Brooklyn, New York. While still in high school, he co-founded Real People Theater, a company best known for reworking plays by combining some of the language of the original texts with street slang and Spanish. Two personal favorites were Milton’s Paradise Lost and Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The company received great acclaim in the worlds of education and theater, and toured North America and Europe. Founder of the Brooklyn gypsies collective. Modesto has also performed on stage with the Wooster Group and Repertorio Español in New York. Vice president of the Brooklyn poets board of directors. His recent focus has been on his writing, and on addressing the social and political changes affecting the Latin American communities in his neighborhood. He has appeared on broadcast and online radio to discuss politics throughout the Spanish-speaking world, and to share his poems and stories. He’s also appeared on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Charlie Rose, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, BK Live, NY1 and The New Yorker. Has shared the stage with Wallace Shawn, Frances McDormand, Kate valk, Liz Lecompte and Maura Tierney. In 2012 he published a poetry collection addressing gentrification called Oye, Para Mi Querido Brooklyn (Listen, For My Dear Brooklyn). He is currently working on a memoir and one-man show about growing up as an immigrant in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

DILCIA GONZALEZ-QUEIRO
Born in Santo Domingo, DR, Dilcia Gonzalez-Queiro, also known as Sole Rebel, has been on tour since she was in the womb. Daughter of folklore Painter Amancio Gonzalez and writer Dr. Luz Quiero, she grew up in the Bronx, Harlem and reps Washington Heights. Sole Rebel is a hybrid of many elements, visually and musically. She graduated from La Guardia HS of Arts and Performing Arts in 2002.
Her sound is not limited to any genre, and she can jump on any free-style or improv cypher. She has toured with groups such as Audiopharmacy and One Struggle, Dread Lion Sound, and has performed with musicians like Luv Fyah, Aima the Dreamer, Mano Negra, among others. Her influences include, but are not limited to Nina Simone, Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley, Janis Joplin and the Beatles. Sole Rebel is also an illustrator currently working on a graphic novel, and constantly producing new pieces while reworking her concepts. She loves modern art and fine art, as well as street art and live painting.
