Leslie Feinberg, who identified as an anti-racist white, working-class, secular Jewish, transgender, lesbian, female, revolutionary communist, died on November 15, 2014.

If you would like to read something written by Leslie during the event, please contact Joe @ genderreelfest@gmail.com so you can be placed in the schedule.
The Festivals closing remarks and a small reception, including a champaign toast follows the tribute @ 7:20 PM.
Feinberg was the first theorist to advance a Marxist concept of “transgender liberation,” and hir's work impacted popular culture, academic research, and political organizing.
The larger festival features 22 independently made films, 7 panel discussions with 13+ discussants, a New York City premier of "Queer & Present Danger," a new documentary about transgender renegade Kate Bornstein and a guest speaking appearance by Imani Henry.
Advance registration for the festival is not required, but recommended.
