GRIND: THE MOVIE Free Screening + Talkback

Catch a free screening the new musical short film about hook-up culture starring Anthony Rapp, followed by a talkback with members of the cast and director Zachary Halley. All people want to connect. Whether sexually or emotionally, we humans will do all sorts of things to find someone to feel close to: for a few minutes or a lifetime. And now, with technology’s assistance, it’s easier (or harder?) than ever. In the short film GRIND, the filmmakers wanted to address that basic motivation and the prevalence of smartphone apps and people’s willingness to engage with complete strangers by asking the question: “Do you really know who you’re talking to?” Starring Anthony Rapp (If/Then, Rent), Claire Coffee (Grimm, The West Wing), and Pasha Pellosie (The Carrie Diaries), the short musical film takes a sexy (and scary) look at hook-up culture in contemporary gay life..
