This is my 4th year here working alongside counselors and social workers to help families in our community to receive the education they deserve as well as the services they need. This year I took the challenge to give back to community even more.
I met with my boss and gave her a proposal for an event that I am creating, and I need your help to achieve it. The event consist in running a coat drive (sweaters, gloves, scarves) by October 18th, so the purpose of this event is to reach out to you and see if I can count on you to search through your closet and see if there is anything you'd like to donate. I was amining to help at least 100 families but since I know how wonderful you guys are I know we will be able to help 200 families. Also if you can reach out to your friends and see if we can make this even bigger, there are a lot of families in my community that struggle to get coats for the winter. Everything we collect will be donated to The Children's Aid Society on Friday October 18th.
