Joe files for an injunction to stop his ex-girlfriend Amanda from having an abortion. Kevin takes up Amanda's case against the wishes of his Catholic schoolteacher fiancee, Sarah, whose ex-boyfriend and co-worker Vinnie tries to understand how his pro-choice girlfriend Lauren can write about the case fairly for the local newspaper.

Meyers, choose. examines the role of religion and politics in three very different relationships. How do we think and talk about controversial issues with our significant others, and how do we learn to understand other viewpoints without surrendering our own?
