The Sixth Annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Post Pride Party will feature a fabulous cocktail reception in the Museum's Great Hall and private viewings of:
PUNK: Chaos to Couture: Chaos to Couture examines punk's impact on high fashion from the movement's birth in the early 1970s through its continuing influence today. Featuring approximately one hundred designs for men and women, the exhibition will include original punk garments and recent, directional fashion to illustrate how haute couture and ready-to-wear borrow punk's visual symbols.
Photography and the American Civil War: More than two hundred of the finest and most poignant photographs of the American Civil War have been brought together for this landmark exhibition. Through examples drawn from the Metropolitan's celebrated holdings of this material, complemented by important loans from public and private collections, the exhibition examines the evolving role of the camera during the nation's bloodiest war.
The Post Pride VIP Reception and the Post Pride Party are made possible by Jeff Soref and Paul Lombardi, with additional support provided by Andrew Solomon and John Habich Solomon.
