Clint Michigan offers a contemplative meditation on love, struggle, and life’s baffling beauty with their second album, Coeur d’Alene. Featuring the singular songwriting talent and style of frontman Clint Asay, as well as appearances by many great Downtown NYC musicians including long time collaborator and vocalist Amy Bezunartea(Kiam Records). Coeur d’Alene is a nine-track marvel destined to touch all those with heads full of memories and hearts familiar with ache. Clint Michigan has be heralded as “delicate and devastating” (Paste), “plaintive and at times haunting” (Time Out New York), and “magical stuff” (Detour) announced the band to be a powerful presence in the world of alt-folk music, both for Asay’s affecting lyrics and the rhapsodic, reflective harmonies woven throughout its tracks. Clint Michigan's music has been featured on ABC's Grey's Anatomy and this year at the Sundance Film Festival's premiere of Liz Garcia's "The Lifeguard".
Tim Foljahn is a Michigan-born, New York-based singer-songwriter/guitarist who has more than likely played on one of your favorite records. Some highlights from the tip of his iceberg-sized resume: He was the guitarist on the first two Cat Power records. He toured with and worked on the final Townes Van Zandt recordings. He lent his guitar skills to Half Japanese as well as the Boredoms. He played on the fantastic Thurston Moore solo record Psychic Hearts. All the while, Foljahn released a series of his own brooding and lovely song cycles and experimental recordings under the moniker Two Dollar Guitar. Songs For An Age Of Extinction is Foljahn's first "song-based" record since Two Dollar Guitar's The Wear and Tear of Fear from 2006 and his first release for Kiam Records
