The Center and Team Eagle NYC present: Social Media as a Fundraising Tool Whether you're riding in Cycle for the Cause or AIDS Life Cycle, walking in AIDS Walk New York, or participating in any of the countless other fundraising activities, Andy Tonken has tools to help you meet your fundraising goals. Andy Tonken is a member of Team Eagle, a group of men and women who participate in Cycle for the Cause, the northeast AIDS ride from Boston to New York City that supports the HIV and AIDS services of The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in Manhattan. A social media enthusiast, Andy serves as Social Media Manager for The Urban Bear and has launched social media marketing plans for numerous independent businesses and interest groups. Professionally, Andy works for a popular kitchen gadgets company, a local independent retailer, and a non-profit. This seminar will focus on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and will touch on other social media tools. $5 suggested donation goes to support Cycle for the Cause but all are welcome regardless of their ability to contribute.
