FLASH MOB: HOMOPHOBIA KILLS DIE-IN - In Grand Central Terminal NY
Friday Oct 8, 2010 6:00pm-6:30pm in New York
NOTE VERY IMPORTANT CHANGES TO THIS INFORMATION.

READ THOROUGHLY AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS OF CHANGES.

BEFORE YOU GO - CHECK FOR LAST MINUTE ANNOUNCEMENTS.

CRITICAL: DO NOT BLOCK ANYTHING, platforms, staircases, entrances, or main passage ways.

Homophobia Kills. That's a fact. Join us on Friday, October 8th at 6 PM inside Grand Central Terminal as we mourn the loss of all the queer people who have died due to homophobia, and to demand Congress outlaw homophobia by adding us to the Civil Rights laws.

ACTION DETAILS: But for now: When you hear a signal, simply lower yourself to the ground, paying attention to people walking toward you to avoid any tripping or collisions, and assume a dead position with your arms folded across your chest. If you are with a group, designate someone to remain standing to direct people around you.

CRITICAL: DO NOT BLOCK ANY platforms, staircases, entrances, or main passage ways.

Names of queer people we've lost will be read aloud, and a large visual display will raise attention to homophobia in America, and our demand for full civil rights NOW. As the names are read, please repeat after each one, only the FIRST name.

When a second whistle blows, stand and cheer, or chant as you please, but disburse peacefully.

Wear RED or YELLOW if you want.

IMPORTANT NEW INFO ABOUT ARREST RISK: It is technically against the rules to lay down, but we have addressed this with the MTA, and if we follow our plan, are careful and courteous to everyone around us, and DO NOT block or intentionally obstruct any paths, there should be minimum risk. While there is always some RISK OF ARREST when any rule is broken, it is up to each individual has to assess this for themselves.

ALWAYS OBEY ANY & ALL DIRECTIONS OF ANY POLICE OFFICIAL.

If they tell you to stand up, STAND UP and DO NOT ARGUE WITH THEM, this will minimize your risk of arrest. If you choose otherwise, you will surely risk arrest.

If you are arrested for any reason, contact [email protected] immediately, or call: 718-309-8598. If you are not conforming to the plans, you will likely require your own legal counsel.

CONTACT NOTE: For some mysterious FB reason, we can not message this group directly. SO PLEASE JOIN the American Equality Bill's main FB page to get direct updates.
